Questions for the Universe

An ongoing series of collage and composite artworks exploring surrealism, landscape, and the cosmic.

Questions for the Universe is a growing collection of square format collages conceived as album artworks. Each piece brings together landscape photography and space imagery, combining the terrestrial and the cosmic into scenes that feel simultaneously familiar and impossible. Desert roads stretch beneath ringed planets. Animals inhabit starlit valleys. Convenience stores glow under aurora skies. The ordinary and the infinite sit side by side.

The series has no fixed narrative, but recurring themes run through it: travel and solitude, wonder and scale, the smallness of human life against the vastness of space. Landscapes drawn from deserts, mountains, oceans, and snowfields are paired with planets, moons, eclipses, and star trails to create images that feel like stills from a journey that never quite existed. The album artwork format gives each piece its own self-contained world, complete and open to interpretation at the same time.
